On October 29, 2012 hurricane Sandy put us under, literally! There was three feet of water in the dinning room, four feet in the kitchen, and the basement was filled to the top. The building from 1794, New York City’s oldest commercial wood frame, needed 85% of its wood support in the basement replaced, all new electric, new floors and walls in both the dining room and kitchen. It has been a very long journey, with all sorts of stumbling stones we could have never imagined.

Alas, we hope to reopen soon; to serve old friends, meet new ones, share stories, and have a drink or two. In the meantime, please visit our Facebook page, or sign up for our newsletter to be updated on progress.
